I’m going to feel like a real sex toy granny at the moment but back in my day you’d spend £20 on a bullet that was battery powered, leaked at the seams, and wasn’t even guaranteed to get your rocks off.

Back in my day silicone toys were something we fought fiercely for; desperately trying to deter people from purchasing jelly or *grimaces* ‘realskin’ in order to try and get safer products more prevalent in the retail space.

Back in my day a rechargeable bullet cost £45+ and to have all of the extra features, such as waterproof play, a 1 year warranty, and a tasteful option for colours all bumped the price up further.

I am so glad we are not ‘back in my day’ anymore. (Also that sex toy granny thing might be a kink for someone, if so then I hope I got your heart racing a bit there).

The Maia Jessi Rechargeable Super Charged Mini Bullet Vibrator

The Maia Jessi Rechargeable Super Charged Mini Bullet Vibrator is a bullet that, at one time, I never thought I would see on the market but always hoped would appear.

This toy retails at a mere £20 and offers everything which, just a few years ago, would have been considered luxury.

  This bullet would not have existed back in days of old (or it would have cost £50)

The luxury is now commonplace and, much like cakes and dog ownership filtering down from the aristocracy to those of other economic positions, we can all celebrate this paradigm shift in the market.

The Maia Jessi Mini Bullet is an incredibly tasteful offering for a toy of its price range and accessibility level. Its box is a beautiful little thing – clean and sleek in design with social media tags on one side, specifications on the other, and some key product specifications on the back.

I mention this because, whether you care about product boxes or not, these elements of a toy can affect a person’s decision to purchase (or to present a toy as a gift) and the Maia Jessi Mini Bullet does well to sell itself. Which is good, because this is a toy you should totally buy.

The Maia Jessi Mini Bullet is 3 inches in length (2.5 of which are insertible) and 0.8 inches in diameter. Recently I reviewed a toy that pitched itself as ‘mini’ but which I really didn’t think hit the mark in terms of earning that descriptor. The Maia Jessi Mini Bullet totally gets to call itself mini and this toy can be easily slipped in between play mates/lovers during sex, close to the body when using other toys, in a harness for additional vibration, or in most bullet sleeves for pre-existing toys.

This toy is USB rechargeable and submersible for added play and ease of toy cleaning. Because this toy is waterproof initial users or sex toy beginners might be confused as to where to charge it. The prod-like charge cable you get with this toy is to be inserted in to the base of this toy (next to its button) where there is a very teeny tiny hole. Don’t be coy or gentle about getting it in there – really give it a firm shove. If in doubt, imagine it’s a play partner who likes it rough and go for the gold in terms of performance. Imagine a satisfied ‘Oh yeah!’ when you get it in and then charge away. Then question Emmeline Peaches’ sanity. Go on, I know you want to.

 Stick it in there.

This toy is made from medical grade silicone which, in this instance is as firm as an ABS toy, sturdy and matte at its surface. Lubricate it, however, and this bullet becomes slick, smooth and something you may need to be a bit careful with if you tend to have clumsy hands (like myself). Grip can be hard when the water-based lube is applied.

This is mainly given to the fact that, even on its gentlest setting, this bullet is an absolute fucking powerhouse when it comes to its vibrations. I am not kidding you – this toy can put a We Vibe Tango to shame with how it rocks and rumbles upon its first press. These vibrations are penetrating, on the shuddering side of things but with a definite buzz to them which might deter some. This isn’t the irritated and high pitched buzz of old, however. It’s almost as if one of those first gen buzz toys had a night with a rumbly wand and this bullet was the final product.
It’s quite appealing, I can assure you, and I’ve even found myself climaxing with this bullet while casually sat writing this review with it nuzzled between my thighs (you know, for science).

The downside of this is that the ‘first press’ of power that you get from this bullet is its pinnacle. That’s right! This is one of those endlessly annoying bullets that puts its strongest of 3 continual vibration settings first and then gets gentler from there on.

WHY!?!

 Why take something so beautiful and make it so frustrating?

I really do loathe this structure for toys and the fact that is has a single button for control means that if you do accidentally mis-press then you either have to filter through all 10 of the modes or turn it on and off again – both definite mood killers.
Thankfully the button is well-placed and not that hard to accidentally press but it is the biggest gripe I have with this otherwise really enjoyable bullet.

The patterns included are standard but offer enough variety to satisfy those who like to play a bit with their sex toy (I mean, it’s all part of the premise of a ‘toy’ after all, one could argue). I’m not really a pattern person but I did find some of them to have an appeal, especially the little ‘cha cha’ one, as I came to name it. If you buy this toy you will know the one.

The only other real downside I can offer up when it comes to this toy is the shape of it. A lot of people purchase bullet vibrators because they want to play around with pin-point precision. The most well-known of bullets offer this – giving a well-tapered tip for the occasion – but the Maia Jessi Mini Bullet has a rounded tip which isn’t quite as precise as some. I like this, because it means the sensation feels less sharp, but I know many others who will find themselves lamenting the way that this toy has omitted this design feature.

It’s all about personal preference, at the end of the day.

Final Thoughts

Despite my minor gripes the Maia Jessi Rechargeable Super Charged Mini Bullet Vibrator is a product that I never thought I’d see retail at such an accessible price on the market and I am so friggin’ grateful that toys like this how now moved over from ‘luxury’ to ‘mainstream’ in many regards.

You certainly won’t see me going full hipster-mode and shunning this vibrator for hopping out of the niche market and in to the orgy of the everyday and I highly recommend this little-bullet-that-can to anyone looking for a strong, safe offering to add to their play sessions.

Just beware of that early peak that it offers and maybe give feedback to Maia about how to order their vibrations. We’ve changed the landscape of the sex toy industry once, there’s no reason as to why we can’t do it again.

I have a well-documented love/hate relationship with rabbit vibrators. When they get it right there is little can compare with simultaneous internal and external stimulation. However, the anatomical problems they come up against make them so often a bad fit. The Maia Skyler Flexible Rabbit has a clever solution to this and it’s one I’ve wondered why I’ve not seen before.

Peepshow Toys sent me the Maia Skyler Flexible Rabbit for review and if I’m honest the main thing I was curious about was the flexible element of the vibe. Traditional rabbit design rarely if ever manages to hit both your clit and your G Spot. Usually either one is on the mark and the other slightly misses or even worse, in its efforts to do everything it ends up doing nothing.

Shape and Design

Modern rabbit vibes have leant towards a bendy clitoral neck and a more lobster claw design to allow greater anatomical match but even this is difficult. One size simply doesn’t fit all when it comes to dual stimulation. I’ve often wondered why the clit arm of rabbit can’t be flexible and Maia have seemingly come to the same conclusion.

In shape the Maia Skyler Flexible Rabbit is lobster claw. I have a lot of affection for this style of dual stimulator as I find it allows me to use it hands free. The design kind of holds itself in place inside me and this frees my hand to either explore my own body or my partners.

Covered in a super soft silky silicone (try saying that after an eggnog or two!!) the Maia Skyler Flexible Rabbit feels delicious. It’s one of those toys I struggle to stop stroking, it’s so incredibly tactile. An unusual Teal in colour trimmed with gold the Maia Skyler Flexible Rabbit has a look of class about it.

Individual Control

The head of the internal shaft has a ridged surface adding additional G spot friction. The clitoral arm is curved with split ears and a pronounced stimulation bump on the tip. In length the Maia Skyler Flexible Rabbit is 9.5 inches long but only about 5 of these are insertable.

The controls for the Maia Skyler Flexible Rabbit sit on the inside of the handle. A power button is sandwiched by an individual control for each arm. I like this as it allows me to use the Maia Skyler in various different ways. Pressing each of the two controls again allows you to travel through the fifteen different settings available on each arm! Hella choice!

There are sustained vibration settings in various intensities and lots of pulse pattern settings. I’d have liked to see a few more steady vibe settings and less patterns myself.

Defused Vibration

The vibration is quite powerful, though one thing I noticed was the ears defuse the clitoral vibration to an annoying low level. I found it much more effective to place the raised area of the clitoral arm against the side of my clit. The internal vibration is strong and feel very good. I opt for a pulse pattern to allow my G spot to be teased whilst my clit warms up.

This is where the beauty of the Maia Skyler Flexible Rabbit lies. Both arms are very flexible. I was able to position the internal arm to curve up and back in a custom G spot angle which allowed amazing stimulation. The clit arm is even more flexible allowing you to move it up and down and even side to side. However, I still think there could be situations where this would fall short. It’s very difficult to reduce the distance of the clitoral arm meaning if you have a short distance between your vagina and your clit it’s still likely to miss hit in fit.

However it shouldn’t be understated that I think the Maia Skyler Flexible Rabbit will allow more people to enjoy dual stimulation. There is a good amount of movement in both arms and once positioned they stay put. I was able to change it up when I realised the ears weren’t cutting the mustard in terms of vibration. A little adjustment allowed me to directly place the clitoral nub alongside my clit and hey presto! A much better level of stimulation.

A Lot Going On

In use the Maia Skyler Flexible Rabbit feel like there’s a lot going on at first. Even the LED flashing away looks a little overwhelming and busy. However, with a little adjustment to the settings it quickly went from Hmmm to Ahhh as the vibrations worked their magic.

I do think the clitoral vibration could be a bit stronger, I say this because it took me longer than average to come using the Maia Skyler Flexible Rabbit and I think it was because of this. I did come though. And when I did it was well worth the slight wait. I sometimes wonder if perhaps I’ve become unfairly impatient with my orgasm.

The blended orgasm given by the Maia Skyler Flexible Rabbit is very nice, it hits me in waves and lasts far longer than a purely clitoral or internal orgasm. The journey to climax feels like a roller coaster. Inching closer and closer to the edge, the sensation growing minute by minute. Thanks to the lobster claw design. I can close my eyes and let my fantasies run wild as I explore the rest of my body.

In Summary

Playing with the Maia Skyler Flexible Rabbit is a lot of fun. I appreciate the thought which has gone into the design and it does show. If we could keep tweaking dual stimulators I think eventually we might be able to get to a point where everyone can find one which works for them with less trial and error.

Sometimes something so cute drops into my review pile and I find myself praying it’s a good toy simply because I love the aesthetic. The Maia Roxie Crystal Gem Bullet vibrator is one such toy. Sent to me by Peepshow Toys (who clearly know I love a bit of glam) the Maia Roxie Crystal Gem Bullet vibrator is a bit of me as soon as I open the parcel.

Glinting away from inside a clean crisp white box sits the prettiest bullet I’ve seen. In colour the Maia Roxie Crystal Gem Bullet vibrator could have been made for me. A delicious hot pink colour shaft teases me. This is sat on a faceted base of metallic pink shininess. Alongside this sits a case of the same pretty reflective nature.

Visual Treat

Visually the Maia Roxie Crystal Gem Bullet vibrator is a treat. I’m very aware there will be people who think this is dreadful, but it appeals to me in so many ways. I know if I was selecting a toy off the shelf based on looks alone this would be the one.

The Maia Roxie Crystal Gem Bullet vibrator is small in size and when covered by the case looks very much like a lipstick. It could easily be disguised in your bag, however, apply caution here because if seen it will draw attention due to its blingy nature. Measuring just 4 inches in full length the Maia Roxie Crystal Gem Bullet vibrator is a palm sized beauty.

Matt Silicone

The silicone is matt in texture and has a grabby, almost grainy feel to it. This makes it great for massaging with. However, it doesn’t seem to grab hair and fluff like some matt silicones. It’s still soft and feels good.

The slim shaft leads to an angled tip. Creating the lipstick looking effect and giving you a flat surface to press against your clit. The tip is both nicely sized and shaped and slides alongside my clit effortlessly.

The controls for the Maia Roxie Crystal Gem Bullet vibrator are on the base and as you’d expect with it being a bullet they are one button controls. This has its downsides as it means scrolling through all the controls to go back a setting. But it is very much par for the course with bullets.

The button itself is like a small crystal embedded into the bottom of the bullet and is very pretty. Holding it down for a few seconds kicks the Maia Roxie Crystal Gem Bullet vibrator to life.

Vibration Problems

The Maia Roxie Crystal Gem Bullet vibrator has ten functions to choose from. These include three steady vibration settings and seven patterned settings. Straight away I notice the vibrations feel quite weak. Turning it up to the highest steady speed there is more power but no real depth to the vibes. This is disappointing and I had hoped for more rumble. The Maia Roxie Crystal Gem Bullet vibrator is quiet though, very discreet even on the top speeds.

Because of the silicone shaft I advise only using water based lube with the Maia Roxie Crystal Gem Bullet vibrator anything else could potentially damage the surface. I slicked a little Sliquid over my clit first before play as lube improves everything.

Friction

As soon as I started playing with the Maia Roxie Crystal Gem Bullet vibrator I knew the patterns were not going to work for me, they simply didn’t give me consistent enough stimulation. On the steady setting I could use the friction created from the silicone to build my arousal. Circling the tip of the Maia Roxie Crystal Gem Bullet vibrator around my clit.

I really found myself wishing for one more consistent speed. I just couldn’t quite get the stimulation I needed. Although it took time I did eventually climax using the Maia Roxie Crystal Gem Bullet vibrator but it wasn’t as deep and intense as usual.

The Maia Roxie Crystal Gem Bullet vibrator is rechargeable and comes with its own USB charging cord. This is pretty standard now but makes bullets more powerful than back in the days of battery op toys.

In Summary

I really wanted to love the Maia Roxie Crystal Gem Bullet vibrator, it’s so pretty and the design is perfectly me. However, the power feels lacking and in a bullet that’s an issue.
